In August 2016, for the release of her book Avant Gauze,
Christine Friedlander made a scroll of gauze with a new poem on it.
We cut the scroll into 15 pieces and sent them
to the first 15 people who pre-ordered the book.

They were invited to respond to their piece
of the scroll with words and pictures.
Together these responses form a whole new scroll.

Not everyone responded, so we decided to send more pieces out.
As people respond to their pieces of the gauze scroll,
the pieces become unlocked on this page.
